BRIEF CHARACTERISTICS
The Cup model was revised in 2010 and is based on the GT3 RS released in 2009. With 3.8 litres of engine capacity and 450 hp, the 997 Cup is the strongest in the 20-year Cup pedigree. Thanks to the more massive fenders, it is considered the widest to date, and with the lower front apron and the mighty GT2 rear wing, it is undoubtedly also the most impressive in the Cup family.

Markos Statement

The 911 GT3 Cup is a thoroughbred racing car that is delivered by Porsche in race trim. The car is built according to the GT regulations and is used not only in the Porsche Carrera Cup one-make cup but also in various other racing series, mainly on long distances.

I drove a GT3 Cup in the Carrera Cup Deutschland in 2013 & 2014 and of course you can't compare this race car directly with the street legal sports cars in our tests, but you can use it as a benchmark.

The GT3 Cup has been uncompromisingly designed for use on the race track by one of the best car manufacturers in the world. Everything simply fits perfectly here. Drive, transmission, chassis and brakes have been continuously developed from generation to generation during the 20 years of Cup history. You can already see that from the lap times. If you are looking for a pure trackday tool without road approval and want to do active motorsport, the GT3 Cup is sure to give you great pleasure.
