245 km/h | 1.34 g (transverse) | -1.24 g (longitudinal)

The GT2 RS was consistently trimmed for performance by Porsche. From a standing start, it takes only 2.7 seconds to reach 100 km/h. ... Even if you shift up to seventh gear at 325 km/h, you can still feel the powerful thrust of the turbocharged boxer, which the electronics only stop at 340 km/h.

BRIEF CHARACTERISTICS
The GT2 RS is the fastest production 911 ever. With 6:47.3 minutes on the Nordschleife, it is currently the fastest road-legal sports car and the benchmark for super sports cars.

Markos Statement

By the way, this time you can also find my statement on video after the hotlap! Write us how you like our new video and don't forget to link it ;-)

I was really excited about this hotlap candidate, because after the Spyder 918 this is already the second record holder I was allowed to test on my home track.

With 6:47.3 on the Nordschleife, the GT2 RS is currently the fastest road-legal sports car in the world and is considered the benchmark among super sports cars. And rightly so!
With a car that burns into the tarmac at times like this, the engineers in Zuffenhausen and Weissach must have done everything right to do what can be done right, and my statement is therefore short and sweet.
The handling is very close to a Cup Porsche with extreme power. The 750Nm from 2,500 rpm provide enormous thrust and the traction is impressive. The turbos work so perfectly that the engine reacts immediately to every accelerator pedal movement and feels like a "naturally aspirated engine with impressive torque".

So you have to change a little bit, because the early torque allows you to go into the corner with a higher gear than usual and then come out at full speed. The PDK is beyond criticism anyway and has been adapted once again to the performance of the GT2 RS. The seat ergonomics are very good as usual and the side support is perfect. In combination with the 6-point belts, the sports seats are ideal for the race track without appearing unpleasantly hard. The Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) come from motorsport, are very well controllable, have excellent deceleration and never appear overstrained.

Unfortunately, the tested GT2 RS was not fitted with Michelin Cup2 R brakes at the factory. The Dunlop Sport Maxx couldn't get the performance 100% on the ground and I assume that the car with Cup2 R tyres, a special GT2 RS specification, might have broken the 2 minute barrier. Maybe we have the chance to test the Gt2 RS again with TOP tyres.

CONCLUSION: The GT2 RS is currently certainly the non plus ultra for the race track, if you have the necessary bank account, because at just under EUR 400,000, it also plays in the upper league in terms of price. But if you don't have to worry about that, the GT2 RS is an extremely fast track tool, thanks to its perfectly acting PSM, even for non-professionals, that can nevertheless be moved relatively comfortably to the race track and is also suitable for a weekend sports car trip. However, a vehicle of this performance naturally requires a skilled hand, despite electronic auxiliary systems, if you want to push it to the limit. In short: Porsche at it's best!
