Markos Statement

Even the performance data of the Exige speaks for itself: this is a real ring tool! This impression is also reflected in the interior of this Brit-Racer: Perfectly fitting bucket seats, extremely low seating position and no frills like air conditioning or radio.

The sound is brute and the 6-speed dogbox transmission does its part to create a real motorsport feeling. The Exige not only looks fast, it is. The diffuser and rear spoiler provide more downforce in the fast corners and the compressor-charged 1.8 litre engine hangs on the gas like a suction cup. The brakes are easy to handle with a weight of 840kg and the balance is good too and every meter on the track is extremely fun.

Which I was aware of, but then I was surprised: How extremely the two-man operation affects the balance on this vehicle: The already remarkable 2:08.2 became 2:05.6 in my solo lap, a value that is clearly on super sports car level. However, you are always fully challenged, as the Exige changes from neutral to slightly oversteering under load to understeering, which makes it difficult to keep it on the ideal line.
In my opinion, the Exige would have even more potential if it were equipped with a horizontal beam system instead of a pressure reducing valve for brake force distribution: The pressure curve would be more constant and you could "play" with the brake more.
A height-adjustable steering wheel would be ideal because taller pilots may not have enough space between their legs and the steering wheel. Another point of criticism is the extremely narrow throttle pedal, which makes simultaneous braking and stepping on the gas when changing down the gear almost impossible, almost incomprehensible in a car like the Exige.

CONCLUSION: Despite the mentioned points of criticism an absolute trackday tool! The car moves at KTM X Bow level and you can definitely consider it as an alternative if you feel more comfortable with a roof over your head.
