Markos Statement

Of course, despite the M Performance Package, the 435i is not explicitly built for the racetrack, so you shouldn't expect any "miracles" this far away. However, you should not underestimate it, despite the sometimes almost unspectacular pace: In terms of performance, it is on a par with the M3 E46 and in terms of braking values and cornering speeds, it does not even need to shy away from comparisons with the current M3 (F80). BMW has put a perfect sports coupe on the wheels, which you can drive extremely fast without sacrificing comfort in everyday life. The steering is very direct and the traction through the mechanical M-disc lock is simply brutal. This also applies to the 18" performance brakes, which are identical in construction to those found in the M3 and provide excellent deceleration. The suspension could, of course, be harder on the racetrack and provide more feedback, and the exhaust could also be more noticeable, but by the time you get home at the latest, you're glad that everything is the way it is. The ergonomics are top-notch, as is typical for BMW, and the M sports seats offer perfect lateral support without compromising on long-distance suitability.

The 8-speed Sport Steptronic is probably one of the best automatic transmissions currently on the market. It is impressive how quickly the gears change. When downshifting, the correct speed is ensured by means of the intermediate throttle. A highlight is the "gear preselection", i.e. you shift down with the paddles (which, by the way, also rotate!), but the gear is only engaged when the revs allow it and you can concentrate fully on steering and braking. Ideal on the circuit.

CONCLUSION: The perfect everyday sports bike!
